What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a focused psychotherapy designed to quickly alleviate symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Combining elements of CBT, EMDR, and guided imagery, ART guides clients through distressing memories while using eye movements or bilateral stimulation to reprocess them. Clients often report significant improvement after just 3-5 sessions, making ART an effective short-term therapy option. At Ridgeline Therapy, we offer ART to help clients achieve rapid relief and lasting healing from their symptoms.

What is the difference between EMDR and ART?

There are a few differences between these two types of therapies. For instance, EDMR uses a variable number of eye movements, but ART protocol uses a fixed number of these. EDMR is content focused and uses free association, while ART has a procedural orientation and focuses on visual imagery and emotional sensations.
